Banco de Desarrollo Rural de Honduras (Banrural) promotes economic activities mainly in rural areas and reaching sectors that traditionally have been ignored by the traditional financial system. The bank has a clear strategic focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Banrural offers various credit and savings products to its customers and has a specialised microfinance unit. Other loan products include loans for small-scale farmers, working capital facilities, and loans for home improvement and expansion. It has developed children’s savings account to encourage early savings habits.
