Farm Nieuwe Weme Weerselo is a dairy farm in the province of Overijssel, the Netherlands. Frank, Lies and Herman Nieuweweme keep 120 cows with accompanying young stock on more than 70 hectares of land. This means that part of the animal feed can be grown on their own land. In 2012, the farm built a new sustainable and environmentally friendly barn. Here, solid manure and urine are separated, so that less ammonia is emitted. The first type of fertilizer is good for soil life and the second type of fertilizer works faster.
