CACMU is a credit and savings cooperative based, which operates in the northern part of Ecuador. It is deeply rooted in local communities and has a strong a social drive and innovative approach to financial inclusion and environmental protection. Most of its client are entrepreneurial women.
In addition to regular financial products and services, CACMU offers green loans for the acquisition of energy efficiency solutions, and education loans for students and financial institutions. Furthermore, it has a strong focus on groups that have no or limited access to finance, such as immigrants, refugees, physically disabled persons, and the LGBTIQ+ community.
CACMU also provides financial education, healthcare services at one of their branches, and several health prevention and dental campaigns for their clients in remote rural areas with ServiMobil, a minivan which serves as a mobile office.
