This is the financing of 330 solar installations on private roofs on the island of Texel, the Netherlands. The owners of the roofs largely purchase the electricity that is produced by the solar installations themselves. The rest is supplied to other Texel residents on the grid, through Coöperatie Texel Energie. The main goal of TexelEnergie is to provide all of Texel renewable energy from its own island.
