The company provides the equipment, components and materials needed for the creation and use of vacuum environments essential to the development of many technologies. Investment rationale
The company started with melting and molding aluminum parts in a vacuum environment. In a vacuum environment melting temperatures are significantly lower which helps reducing energy use for heating up materials. Over time not only energy efficiency but also clean and sterile environments became important features of vacuum environments. Currently Ulvac develops and manufactures machines and other equipment to create vacuum environments for the manufacturing of flat panel displays, semiconductors, solar panels, batteries and other parts for electric vehicles, and other industrial applications. For the food and pharmaceutical industry Ulvac offers machines and equipment to produce and package food and medicines in a clean and sterile environment. The company also offers cryogenic pumps and pumps that create super dry environments.
