The influence score is a new ranking by Clean Energy Pipeline, a leading independent source of news, data and analytics for the renewable energy industry. It evaluates both the total value of clean energy project finance and the number of transactions, covering key technologies such as solar PV, onshore and offshore wind, and battery energy storage systems.

Triodos Bank’s renewable energy finance is also reflected in the activities of Triodos Investment Management (Triodos IM). In Europe, it has a strong renewable energy infrastructure debt capability. This includes the management of an energy infrastructure debt mandate for a major Dutch pension fund, focused on renewable energy assets. Additionally, Triodos IM finances innovative solutions through Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund and Triodos Groenfonds, supporting projects like Bluefield Storage Development in battery energy storage.

Sonja de Ruiter, Head of Fund Management and Fund Manager of Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund: “This recognition from Clean Energy Pipeline underscores our role as a key driver for the energy transition. It also comes at a time when the case for transitioning to clean energy has never been stronger, not just for climate action but for energy independence and security as well.”

Triodos IM's renewable energy activities also extend to emerging markets. In June 2026, Hivos-Triodos Fonds provided a loan to Sun King, the world’s largest off-grid energy company, operating across Africa.
