With the launch of Triodos Future Generations strategy in 2022, Triodos Investment Management was one of the first investors who adopted this approach.
In this Child-Lens Investing case video, portfolio manager Sjoerd Rozing explains how the Child-Lens Investing Framework, developed by UNICEF, helps him identify companies that positively impact the lives of children and shape the engagement agenda throughout the investment cycle. In doing so, he draws on UNICEF's expertise on children's rights and wellbeing to support the investment strategy.
NX Filtration, the portfolio company portrayed in this video, is a perfect example of this approach. The founders of this water filtration company want to leave a positive legacy for future generations. Its membrane technology enables customers to produce drinking water from surface water by removing micropollutants, nano plastics and medicine residues. The video demonstrates the positive impact of the implementation of NX’s filtration technology on a local community in Indonesia, especially on children.
