Wind farm Willem-Annapolder is a joint venture between cooperative Zeeuwind, a local private investor and Triodos Renewables Europe Fund.
Wind farm Willem-Annapolder is located in Willem Annapolder, near the town of Kapelle in the Netherlands, on the north shore of the Westerschelde River.
The wind farm became operational in February 2003 and consists of 10 smaller wind turbines. The wind farm produces roughly 17 GWh per annum which equals the energy demand of approximately 5,000 households.
Triodos Renewables Europe Fund has been a shareholder since March 2007. In 2016, the fund intensified its partnership through an increased equity stake in this well-performing wind project. This investment fits the fund’s strategy to expand in existing projects and strengthen its partnerships.
