Investing is all about the numbers. Why should impact investing be any different? But how do you map out what to measure when it comes to impact? And can data really tell the full story? Our experts Rebecca Spohrer, Nikkie Pelzer and Tim Crijns share their insights in this masterclass.

Rebecca Spohrer

Impact Manager

Rebecca is the Impact Manager for Private Debt and Equity at Triodos Investment Management. In this role she coordinates and engages with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to ensure that Triodos IM’s approach, decisions and reporting on positive impact and ESG risks are aligned, substantiated and implemented in a harmonised and professional way. She brings more than 15 years of experience in both private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Triodos IM she worked in impact management positions at, amongst others, the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment and the SPRING Accelerator. She holds a degree in Political Science and completed the Executive Education Programme (Impact Measurement) at Said Business School.

Nikkie Pelzer

Impact Manager

Nikkie is Impact Manager at Triodos Investment Management and joined the organisation in 2021. She coordinates the organisation’s ESG and impact management efforts and acts as domain owner of the cross-functional Impact Management and Measurement Domain. In this role, she coordinates the impact ambition and integration of market standards and sustainability related regulatory requirements, including EU SFDR and Taxonomy Regulation. Nikkie brings more than 10 years of impact management experience in asset management, including impact analysis of investment opportunities, impact reporting and setting up theories of change and impact frameworks. She holds academic degrees in Business and International Development.

Tim Crijns

Fund Manager

Tim Crijns is Lead Fund Manager of Triodos Microfinance Fund since 2019 and of Triodos Emerging Markets Renewable Energy Fund since March 2024. He joined Triodos Investment Management in 2016 as investment officer Africa. Tim started his career at Triodos in 2014 as corporate secretary to the Board of Directors of Triodos Bank, Supervisory Board and the Foundation for the Administration of Triodos Bank Shares (SAAT). Prior to Triodos he spent two years in Tanzania, setting up a vocational training project, and worked as lawyer at Clifford Chance and ING Bank. Tim holds a Master degree in law from the Radboud University of Nijmegen and a Master in business administration (Strategic Management) from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Tim is a member of the Board of Directors of 3Bank Serbia.
