The company offers a range of financial instruments and technical assistance to large and small businesses.
AFD supports social, economic, and environmental projects in various sectors, such as rural development, urban infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, education, banking and microfinance, energy, health care, telecommunications, housing, and eco-tourism. For large projects, the agency performs impact assessments and monitors the environmental and social effects during realization.
