Apollo Agriculture is a company that uses machine learning and automated operations technology to help small-scale farmers in Kenya and Zambia maximise their profitability.
The company was founded in 2016 by Eli Pollak, Benjamin Njenga and Earl St Sauver, with the aim of providing farmers with everything they need - from seed to sale - to become successful commercial farmers.
Apollo has built robust financing and operational technology, including an extensive network of more field agents and agri-retailers. This infrastructure enables Apollo to build trust and credibility with customers in person, while also empowering farmers to maximise their farm earnings with scalability.
Hivos-Triodos Fonds has provided finance to Apollo Agriculture to support their activities in both Kenya and Zambia.
