Founded in 2014, ASA Microfinance Tanzania Limited (ASA Tanzania) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ASA International Group, one of the world’s largest international microfinance networks and active in thirteen countries in Asia and Africa.
ASA Tanzania focuses on reducing poverty and supporting female entrepreneurs through an efficient group lending model. As of June 2025, the company served more than 300,000 active borrowers, 97% of whom are women, across more than 200 branches.
