Badger Meter is a leading manufacturer of products using flow measurement and control technologies developed both internally and with other technology companies. Its products are used to measure and control the flow of liquids in a variety of applications. Products include water meters, radios, software analytics and flow & industrial instrumentation (mainly meters as well). Badger Meter serves water utilities, municipalities, and commercial and industrial customers worldwide and helps them manage their operations, add to revenue and minimize waste. Nearly 90% of its revenues are generated in the US, because most of Badger Meter's meters comply with US standards, although it is increasingly able to compete in other countries as well.

Badger Meter is a leading player in the market for smart water meters. These meters measure the flow of water, but also of air, steam, oil and other liquids and gases through a pipe. The products are used in all kind of processes, from heating and filtering water in kitchen appliances like dishwashers and coffee makers, to industrial use in the beverage industry, where precision valves control the syrup, water and carbon dioxide in soft drink blending systems. Smart water meters enable utilities to accurately bill and inform consumers about their usage of water. This, in turn, enables both residential and commercial customers to track and control their use of water, encouraging efficient use and conservation and preventing waste.
