Investment rationale
A swift and broad transition to renewable energy is essential to achieve the emission reduction goals laid down by the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015, aimed at keeping global warming limited to 2˚C, and preferably to 1.5˚C.
As a pure play renewable energy provider active throughout the world, with a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects mainly consisting of solar, wind and hydro energy, AER directly contributes to the necessary energy transition. On a yearly basis, the company produces clean energy equivalent to the consumption of 7.5 million homes worldwide, avoiding the emission of more than 13 million tonnes of CO₂. AER currently has an operational capacity of 11 gigawatts and aims to 20 gigawatts by 2025.
