The De Voortse Hoeve family home is a small-scale form of housing for children and young people who are unable to live at home due to circumstances. In a domestic environment, the family home tries to provide the children with the security, peace, stability and guidance they need to develop further. In addition to professional support, the power of normal life is especially important: talking, laughing, playing together, going to school, contact with family and friends and going on holiday. The guidance does not stop when the young people turn eighteen: there are three apartments in which they can continue to grow towards independence from a trusted environment.
