Investment rationale

Ranked in the top 5% of companies who are transforming our food system by the World Benchmarking Alliance, Kerry is market leader in ingredients used in plant-based alternatives for meat. In doing so, it makes an important contribution to the transition of our diet away from meat and more towards plant-based products. As meat products have larger carbon footprint per calorie than grain or vegetable products, this is an important contribution to countering climate change.

Kerry's ingredients help to reduce food waste, which is important for a more balanced agriculture system as well. Kerry is targeting a 50% reduction in its food waste by 2030.
