Triodos Bank finances 164 energy-neutral homes that were built in 2015 in the Dutch municipalities of Kapelle, Leeuwarden, Terneuzen, Almelo, Ede, Heerenveen, Rijen and Tilburg. The houses are equipped with high insulation values, triple glazing, high seam and crack tightness, regulated ventilation with heat recovery, low temperature depletion and a heat pump on outside air. There are solar panels on the roofs.
Ultimately, they want to control costs and keep their homes affordable. The fact that they are on the right track is reflected in the price indexations. The (traditional) construction sector has implemented a price indexation of 33.7% in the period from 2014 to 2020. At MorgenWonen, the total indexation over the same period was only 9.32%. That is why today they are already more than 20% cheaper than traditional construction, and this difference is increasing.
