Investment rationale
The sustainability bonds contribute to Slovenia's Development Strategy 2030. The strategy consists of several green and social targets, which are in line with the SDGs. The bond finances both green and social eligible projects. The green categories allocate proceeds to projects that contribute to low-carbon transport, energy efficient buildings, sustainable agriculture and sustainable waterways. The social categories contribute to better access and quality of education, healthcare, employment and essential services. All eligible categories have clear positive impact and contribute to sustainable development in Slovenia.
In total, 60% of the bonds' proceeds is aligned with the Wellbeing Transition, 38% with the Energy Transition and 2% with the Societal Transition.
The contribution to the Societal Transition comes from 1% of proceeds allocated to the impact objective Employment Generation, and 0% of proceeds allocated to Socioeconomic Advancement & Empowerment.
The contribution to the Wellbeing Transition comes from 50% of proceeds allocated to the impact objective Access to Essential Services: Health, and 10% of proceeds allocated to the impact objective Access to Essential Services: Education.
The contribution to the Energy Transition comes from 39% of proceeds allocated to the impact objective Terrestrial & Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation.
