Established in 1823, Sparebank 1 SMN (MINGNO) is a regional, independent savings bank operating in Trøndelag and Møre and Romsdal in Norway, as one of the banks in the Sparebank alliance (no cross guarantee). It is the region leader with app. 25% market share. Partially listed, and the rest as community-owned (41%). It offers a broad range of products and services such as lending, savings and investment, accounting, estate agency and leasing services. It has a diversified loan portfolio dominated by mortgages, with around 66% retail customers and the rest corporates.

Investment rationale

In total, 92% of the green bond's proceeds is aligned with the Resource Transition and 8% of revenues is aligned with the Energy Transition.

The contribution to the Resource Transition comes from 77% of proceeds allocated to the impact objective Environmentally Sustainable Management of Living Natural Resources & Land Use , and 15% of proceeds allocated to Climate Change Mitigation.

The contribution to the Energy Transition comes from 8% of proceeds allocated to the impact objective Terrestrial & Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation, and 0% of proceeds allocated to Renewable Energy.
