Wind park Roompotsluis 2 is situated near the Oosterscheldekring and consists of 2 V136 Vestas turbines of 4.2 MW. The wind turbines have been replaced in 2020 and 2021. This process is known as repowering and has the aim to increase the efficiency and generating capacity of renewable energy. Repowering plans are subject to a rigorous environmental impact assessment to analyse the impact on the surrounding ecology, water safety, noise, tourism and landscape.
