Windkr-acht was founded in the municipality of Kampen, the Netherlands, by a number of local entrepreneurs with the ambition to produce sustainable energy. In mid-2015, four Enercon (E82) wind turbines with a capacity of 3 MW were installed: two turbines on the Haatlandhaven business park and two turbines on the Zuiderzeehaven business park. The uniqueness of the wind farm is that part of the power is taken directly by the adjacent brick factory and grain storage. This smart combination makes use of the existing energy infrastructure, while it prevents unnecessary transportation of electricity.
