Hivos-Triodos Fonds is an initiative of Triodos Bank and Hivos and invests in sustainable scalable enterprises in emerging markets, with a focus on sustainable agricultural value chains and access to renewable energy solutions.

Mareike Hussels
Blended Finance Manager
Mareike is a sustainable finance professional with 20 years of experience in development finance, impact investment and environmental and social risk management. In her role as a Blended Finance Manager at Triodos Investment Management, she develops financial products that combine different types of capital to allow Triodos to push the boundaries of impact investing. Her current focus is on financing for Nature-based Solutions. Previously, Mareike worked for FMO, the Dutch Development Bank, several impact investment funds, the World Resources Institute and UNEP Finance Initiative.
Wouter Soetaert
Blended Finance Manager
Wouter is a Blended Finance Manager at Triodos Investment Management, where he spearheads innovative and scalable impact investment partnerships. Before joining Triodos Investment Management, he gained experience in strategy consulting, at the Dutch Ministry of Finance and at Dutch development bank FMO. Wouter holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
