Euglena develops, cultivates and processes euglena and chlorella, which are single cell organisms or micro-algae. Euglena and chlorella contain abundant nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and DHA/EPA. The company has two business divisions Health Care and Biofuel. The Health Care division includes health foods, beverages, confectionary and cosmetics containing euglena, chlorella and Kalahari watermelon ingredients. The Biofuel division develops biofuel from euglena and cooking oil residuals for automobiles, ships and airplanes.

Euglena Co. has a Chief Future Officer, a 15-year old girl, and five other Future Summit Members, also teenagers, who advise the Board of Directors on sustainability-related issues.
