FATEN is established in 1995 by the international NGO Save The Children and a group of Palestinians as a microfinance institution, with the motto ‘credit and development for Palestine’. It has grown to become to largest microfinance institution in the region with a high outreach in rural areas and refugee camps.
FATEN started with providing group loans to women who could start their own business. With time, it expanded its financial products and services with the provision of loans to small businesses, microentrepreneurs and individuals, thereby contribution to the empowerment of families and community development.
